Zachariah and Carey Ritland begin serving with AFLC World Missions as Lay Missionaries to Paraguay March 2025.  They have answered the call to serve alongside Matthew and Ednay Abel to plant churches in Paraguay.  

Zachariah and Carey are from Radcliffe, IA and are members of Salem Lutheran Churc (AFLC).  Zachariah and Carey have previously served as Missionary Assistants through Journey Missions in Paraguay, and the Lord used this time to confirm their call to missions and gave them a heart to serve in Paraguay. As they start in March, they will be spending the first months raising prayer partners, financial support, traveling to churches and building a support team. They will also be participating in various types of mission training, including language training. They look forward to getting to know the Paraguayan culture, and to become useful partners with the Abel’s in church planting, making disciples and pointing people to Christ.
